The A4988 stepper motor driver carrier is a breakout board for the TI’s A4988 micro stepping bipolar stepper motor driver. It has a proper Connector for the stepper motor, a three in 1 DIP switch for controlling the motor in 5 steps. 

The motor configuration can be set using this board -

OFF	ON	ON	Half Step
ON	OFF	ON	Quarter Step
ON	ON	OFF	Eighth Step
ON	ON	ON	Sixteenth Step

 

It has Enable, Direction and Step pinouts. Supports logic level of 5V while motor supply voltage from 8-35V. It is recommended to use at least 9V in this board.
