The CD4070 IC contains four independent 2-input NAND gate with Schmitt trigger action on both inputs inside a single package. It is often times referred to as a quad package 2-Input NAND gate Schmitt Trigger IC. The CD4093 IC is normally operated on 5V, 10V, and 15V with a maximum input current of 1uA when operating at 18V. The IC provides high immunity against noisy inputs due to the Schmitt trigger. It is commonly used to provide NAND logic, monostable and astable multivibrators, and Wave and pulse shapers.
