Display modules are widely used throughout the industry to show data or provide indications and warnings to the user. A common challenge with LED displays is the high number of interfacing connections required, which can limit available pins for other modules. This MAX7219 Dot Matrix Module solves that problem by using the MAX7219 LED display driver, which converts serial data from the microcontroller into parallel data for the LED matrix. All 64 LEDs can be controlled using just 3 pins. This 4-in-1 dot matrix module contains four 8×8 LED displays, all controlled via the same 3-wire interface. The onboard 8×8 RAM stores the data for each LED, which can be accessed individually. This module is single-color red, ensuring bright and clear display output.

Product Description

To use this module, you need to power the device with 5V supply to VCC and then Connect Data In (DIN Pin), Chip Select (CS) and CLK pins to the GPIO pins of your Microcontroller.
